The utilization of SNOMED CT in nursing care plans in Norway has shown significant promise in standardizing clinical terminology and improving the quality of patient care. However, the implementation has revealed a notable gap in the availability of suitable concepts for mental health care. Through an engagement with the Norwegian Nurses Organisation and the Nord University, patiens and clients are encouraged to support the development of suitable terminology. This presentation will give an introduction to this approach and possibly som preliminary findings.

Description

Development of patient centered terminology for future implementation.

Scope

We have chosen SNOMED CT because its concepts will be integrated into the existing reference set for nursing terminology.
