The SNOMED CT Expo 2022 call for abstracts has now closed.
Submission Guidelines:
- All Expo presentations and e-posters must be focused on SNOMED CT and should present the use of SNOMED CT in a product or service, rather than promoting the product or service itself. Presentations should enable attendees to enhance their knowledge of SNOMED CT and be aligned with one of the four program streams list below.
- Abstract submissions for oral presentations and e-posters are invited by May 1, 2022.
- Oral presentations are 30 minutes in length (including time for audience questions). A presentation template will be supplied, but its use is not mandatory. Presenters will indicate their availability for in person or virtual presentation and a limited number of virtual presentations will be accepted.
- Oral presentations will be recorded and available for viewing on the online event platform, as well as SNOMED International's YouTube channel.
- ePosters must be prepared using a supplied template and delegates will self-navigate through the ePosters at onsite kiosks. ePoster presenters are encouraged to attend, but in person attendance is not mandatory. ePoster PDFs will also be available for viewing on the online event platform.
- Presenters will be notified of the outcome of their submission by May 27, 2022.
PRESENTATION STREAMS:
Advances in Research and Innovation: Presentations showcasing innovation of SNOMED CT to accelerate data, information, evidence and knowledge creation, supporting a wide range of informatics research.
Demonstrating Implementation Excellence: Presentations exploring practical demonstrations SNOMED CT. Implementers from healthcare organizations, government agencies and industry will share their lessons learned, outcomes and benefit realization achievements.
Enhancing Clinical Practice and Outcomes: Presentations focused on the application of SNOMED CT in clinical settings and clinical research; aimed at enhancing the patient or citizen experience, clinical outcomes, reducing costs or improving efficiency. This may include such areas as precision medicine, data analytics, decision support, clinical guidelines etc.
Terminology Leading Practices: Presentations covering experience and ideas on innovative enhancements of SNOMED CT, as well as those in conjunction with other international standards, e.g., content development, mappings, description logic, reference sets and more.
