Description

Development of evidence based standardized order set for Pediatrics, Mental Health, Maternal/Newborn, Neonatal Intensive Care Units.

Scope

Selected for clinical users to encode diagnoses and problems for inpatients on nursing units live with CPOE at North York General. NYGH is also exploring whether SNOMED CT terms can be used for CPOE order catalog terms and CPOE order sets.

How SNOMED CT will be used

SNOMED CT provides granular coding for clinical terms, is the nationally accepted terminology standard and is supported by NYGH's core health information system vendor.
