Integrate many standard multilingual terminologies in a terminology server to support clinical applications. VOC can support clinical applications in English, French and Spanish.

Description
All SNOMED CT is used. Other standard terminologies such as pan-Canadian LOINC Observation Code Database (pCLOCD), Drug Product Database (DPD), Licensed Natural Health Products Database (LNHPD), RXNORM, ICD-9 CM, ICD-10 CM and HealthVault/HealthSpace vocabularies are integrated and mapped to SNOMED CT within the terminology server. Terms that have been translated into French have also been mapped to increase the French content in SNOMED CT.
Scope
SNOMED CT is the core terminology in VOC. Other terminologies have been mapped to SNOMED CT, providing powerful lexical and semantic searching for terms.

SNOMED CT is the most comprehensive international standard terminology and the "standard of choice" for semantic interoperability.
