How SNOMED CT will be used

  • SNOMED CT is used to flag the hospital record with a term to identify enrolled patients

  • SNOMED CT is used to record concepts of care in the hospital record and to generate ED summaries and discharge summaries viewable in the HIE platform

  • GPs use READ codes

Why SNOMED CT will be used

We will use the descriptive logic in SNOMED for clinical analytics.
