MLDS is replacing SALSA (the SNOMED CT Affiliate Licence Service Application) and offers improved navigation and more features. It will facilitate licensing for SNOMED CT use in non-Member countries and a limited number of Member countries.

As part of the process of registering on the new licensing system, users will be asked to accept the new License Agreement that was approved by the IHTSDO General Assembly in 2014 and has legal effect from January 2015. The new license will also be phased in all Member countries in the coming months.
