Description
To incorporate SNOMED CT codes with ICD-10 codes.
Scope
To give the ability to map SNOMED CT codes with ICD-10 codes within a progress note.
How SNOMED CT will be used
In the progress note of the electronic medical record as well as inside a claim or out of office claim, have the ability to have the SNOMED CT codes mapped to the proper ICD-10 code. As a DX code is selected in the chart, the SNOMED CT code will be mapped to it.
Why SNOMED CT will be used
For proper billing of medical care.
