The Implementation Specialist provides advice and assistance to national, regional and local implementations of SNOMED CT, with respect to terminology strategies, roadmaps, solutions, tools, and implementation artifacts. The individual in this role assists in the development of generalised implementation resources, frameworks, templates, guidelines, specifications and tools to support SNOMED CT implementation activities across a range of clinical domains.

The individual in this role will have:
  • Knowledge and experience in the development of eHealth standards roadmaps
  • Solid knowledge of SNOMED CT content, design, specifications and implementation approaches
  • Knowledge and experience in requirements analysis and design of clinical systems
  • An awareness of the broader eHealth standards and systems landscape
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
Other desired skills/experience:
  • Significant experience in the implementation of eHealth standards in clinical systems using best practice approaches
  • Experience working with a wide range of stakeholders, including some or all of the following: National Release Centers, vendors, clinicians, technical staff, data analysts, researchers, healthcare administration and senior government representatives

  • Lead and assist in workshops with customers to:
    • Understand their current eHealth environment, goals and objectives
    • Explain strategic considerations, implementation requirements, solution options, and relevant available implementation resources
    • Provide tooling training, support and setup
  • Assist customers with the development of their SNOMED CT strategies, roadmaps, and terminology artifacts
  • Provide verbal and written answers to customer questions
  • Develop advice, guidance and/or user documentation on specific implementation topics or tools
  • Develop generalised implementation resources, frameworks, templates and guidelines
  • Chair and/or assist in coordinating user groups, project groups, workshops, presentations and other meetings
  • Work both independently and collaboratively, in support of a single team vision
  • Be customer focused and an active listener, with the ability to ask appropriate questions to accurately understand customer requirements
  • Have a positive, delivery-focused attitude with a strong work ethic. Should be happy to take on any task to get the job done (from designing an eHealth strategy to booking your own flights and taking meeting minutes) 
  • Must be willing to work from home, attend meetings outside normal business hours, and travel internationally (when safe to do so)
